Antique Scottish Silver Plated Fruit Basket C.1900

Description

A stunning late Victorian pierced or reticulated fruit basket, standing on four glorious, highly decorative feet.

The rim is decorated with a raised border in the form of grape vines, with hanging bunches of grapes.

The underside is marked by the Scottish silver and goldsmith's, " Wallace Allan, Ayr " established in 1873.

Excellent condition, the rim diameter measuring 9", the base measuring 6 1/4" foot to foot; 3 3/4" tall or 8 1/2" to top of handle while upright.
