Pair Antique Victorian Walnut Balloon Back Chairs

Description

A very decorative pair of antique Victorian balloon back chairs in walnut. They have carved and pierced bottom rails and stand on shaped cabriole legs. The seats have been newly recovered in a jacquard fabric with a design of oak leaf spray in brown and shades of green on an ivory background. A very attractive pair of high quality chairs with lovely carving.

Construction/Wood:

Walnut.

Condition Report:

Solid frames. Wear and marks commensurate with age. Newly recovered with new fabric over the existing upholstery which is firm and sound. Some worm holes to one of the chairs which has been treated with worm killer as a precaution and filled with wax.
