Antique English Oak & Brass Equestrian Crop Hook - Horse's Head C.1890

A wonderful late Victorian wall plaque, made from solid English Oak. The wood is mounted with a large English brass Horse''s head, hollowed to ease the weight, it would be too heavy if it was solid cast brass.
 
Below the head is the original cast brass hook, presumably for a riding crop but it could easily be used for anything you please, such as the dog''s leash or a coat. A gem for the equestrian or horse racing devotee.
 
Excellent condition, measuring 14'' tall x 10 1/4'' wide x 7 1/2'' deep.
