Superb Very Large Dutch Oak Chest

19th century
Description

A superb Dutch Chest of an exceptional large size, with a doomed top in excellent original condition with wonderful colour and dated 1800. The front of the Chest is inlaid in various timbers including Walnut and Ebony creating decorations of starbursts, flowers and a horseman. The chest bears name in inlay of "Hans Timman, Anno 1800". The solid Oak Chest has a lift up lid of which retains the original decorative Iron hinges, the very clean interior with a candle box to the left hand side. Retains the oversized original lock and Key. Circa 1800.

Dimensions: Height: 31 1/2 Inches - 38cm, Width: 59 Inches - 150cm, Depth: 30 Inches - 76cm.
