London Fine Antiques has dated this piece to the 1910s.
Rising from shaped bracket feet the lower chest offers useful storage with four drawers and a flame mahogany veneer set against solid brass pierced swan neck handles.

The drawers are indicative of the quality of the whole with solid oak linings.
The bureau section presents a fall front with working lock and key. This opens to reveal the tooled and embossed leather skiver and brass hinging.

Within the fitted interior are a pair of drawers, cubbies and letter slots with a very pleasing centre storage with mini tambour rolling door.
Overall a very desirable example in super order with attractive cross-banded flame veneer and original lock escutcheons.

A bureau of smaller proportions delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home. Suitable for daily use if required.
