Wonderful Antique English Penwork Sewing Box / Basket C.1820

An absolutely charming Regency sewing box in the form of a basket with it''s original bentwood folding swing handle.
 
The domed top features a figural scene with one of the men holding a Crown. The sides are decorated with a very English Oak Leaf and Acorn continuous panel.
 
Complete with a working key, the box remains in superb condition. 6 1/4'' x 6 1/2'' x 5'' tall and 8 1/2'' to top of handle. Regency in era, dating to around 1815 / 1820.
