Christian Davies Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 1900s.
With a central oval shell inlaid paterae, surrounded by trailing harebell inlay and a classical urn in a variety of exotic woods. The glazed doors having slightly bowed glass panels which opens to reveal a water marked silk lined shelved interior, with classical Wedgwood style rectangular panels above. The cabinet is supported on four square tapering supports with block feet, united by double stretchers. As you would expect from Shapland & Petter the quality of this cabinet is second to none and the choice of timber throughout is superb. English circa 1900-1910
