French Mantel Clock Reid Paris

Description

A small French mantel clock with ormolu cast handle. Satinwood line inlays to the case with diamond glass side apertures. An enamel dial signed 'Reid & Son a Paris'. Blued steel 'moon' hands. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a bell. Also signed to the mechanism by Reid. Circa 1850.
