Fowey River Antiques has dated this piece to the 1880s.
His mark AB is stamped on the inside.
They have now been converted into lamps by a fully qualified electrician and are ready for immediate use.
They are just stunning and typically French in design, on one side is a figure of a hunter and on the other a courting couple. The base is of ebonised wood and green baize covers this to protect your furniture. As you would expect they are extremely heavy.
They come with brand new cream swirl pattern shades.
They measure 22 inches in height including the shade, 14" without the shades and the diameter of the shades is 12"
This is a lovely genuine pair of lamps and not to be confused with reproductions.
