London Fine Antiques has dated this piece to the 1750s.

Of quality craftsmanship it presents classic canted corners and cross-banded upper detailing with attractive mouldings to the foot and at the crown.
The field panel door offers a fine central inlaid conch shell cartouche with marquetry in holly and pear wood. This hangs on elongated H show hinges and opens to reveal a trio of serpentine fronted shelves and vintage painted interior.

The cabinet benefits from a working lock and key and an original partial brass lock escutcheon.
The cabinet displays wonderfully throughout and the whole is presented in excellent order. Fittings are provided to allow easy wall mounting.

Overall a quality, charming English oak corner display cabinet which will suit any location.
