A Gentleman's Burr Walnut Desk-top Barometer

Description

Callaghan of New Bond Street, LONDON: a fine quality desk-top BAROMETER in perfect working order.

This unusual barometer is set within its good burr walnut case, with sloping top and lock. The lid hinges open to reveal the brass barometer itself, which can be taken out and hung separately if required.

The beautiful engraved and silvered dial is signed by the maker: CALLAGHAN of 23, New Bond Street, LONDON, who is regarded as a fine maker of barometers and scientific instruments. Dimensions: 6.75ins wide; 7ins deep; 5.5ins high at the back. (17 x 18 x 14cms)
