19th Century Mahogany Chest of Drawers

Description

A handsome 19th century straight fronted chest of drawers in mahogany on ogee bracket feet. Comprising 2 small drawers over 3 graduated long drawers with swan neck drop handles (replacements). The top is edged in cross-banded mahogany and it has ebony stringing down the rounded sides. The drawers are edged in cock beading and the front has a flame figured veneer. The top drawers have a removable drawer dividers. A substantial piece affording ample amounts of storage.

Construction/Wood:

Mahogany with oak drawers

Condition Report:

Good condition. Marks and wear commensurate with age. Some areas of mended veneer to the top. The handles are replacements (small marks where old ones would have been).

Height: 36"
