Description

Margaine 11989. A fine quality gorged cased carriage clock by this noted maker. An enamel dial with 'moon' blued steel hands. The original lever escapement. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a gong. Push button repeating. Margaine stamp to the backplate. Circa 1870.

The dial is signed by retailer 'Payne & Co 163 New Bond Street, London, Paris'.
