Description

A fine quality gorge cased carriage clock. An inset top mask to the circular bevelled glass. An enamel dial with 5 minute outer markers and 'moon' blued steel hands. The original travelling box. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a gong. Push button repeating. Numbered 415. Circa 1865.

The dial is signed by retailer 'John Simmons, Cheltenham'.
