Description

A lovely early example of an English fruit knife, Georgian in era, dating to around 1820. The sterling silver plate has a partial hallmark, the Lion Passant for sterling silver and the King George III duty mark used between 1786 and 1821.

The exterior is clad back and front with a period piece of Tortoise Shell with a tiny inlaid silver cartouche.

Excellent condition, measuring 3" while closed and 5 5/8" while open.
