Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the 1930s.
It has stringing decoration in a small chequered pattern to the footboard and has crossbanding around the edges. It stands on attractive heavily carved and gilt feet.
The frame is a Vono frame which is easily assembled or dis-assembled (does not appear to be the original to the bed) . Please note there is no base or mattress provided. It is a non-standard sized bed - the metal frame is 5 feet wide by 6 feet 2 inch long (150cm W x 190cm L). Although it is a non-standard size, 150cm x 190cm mattresses are available online from specialist retailers.
