The silver plating has darkened over the years which makes the chandelier look dark grey in colour.
Gentle cleaning with wire wool would lighten the plating if that is preferred.
The chandelier comes with the original ceiling fitting which you can see at the top of the first photograph, and with a length of original chain.
We date the item to have been made very early in the 20thC if not slightly before, and we have recently rewired it to UK specifications fitting new candle tubes to hold the light bulbs.
The approximate length of the chandelier is 69cm (27") and the width is 58cm (23").
