Unusual Mahogany Glazed and Open Bookcase C1920

A Most Unusual Mahogany Glazed and Open Bookcase in the Chippendale Style and dating form around 1920. Constructed from quality mahogany it has a cornice top above a fretwork carved frieze and with one adjustable and open shelf. The base has a moulded edge to the top above a cross banded frieze and with two glazed doors with working key and three adjustable shelves. This is above a long drawer which is mahogany lined and with original brass swan neck handles and it stands on a shaped plinth base with bracket feet.

Measures: 78" high x 14.5" deep x internal depth ( top) 9" x internal depth ( base) 11" x 40" wide
