A True Austrian Vienna Regulator

19th century
Description

A bespoke Vienna regulator made in Salzburg, Austria. It is not to be confused with the later, mass-produced copies of these clocks made in their 1000's in Germany.

A magnificant walnut case with the usual refinements one would associate with clocks from this region. A burr walnut inset panel to the quarter-veneered backboard. The fully glazed door is key lockable. The pillasters to the door are returned to the sides as opposed to the normal flush front finish of lower grade clocks.

The 8 day, quality movement strikes on the half-hours and the hours and has just been fully overhauled by our BHI registered staff and carries our usual 12mth guarantee.

The 7" white enamelle dial is free from any cracks, chips or crazing and the brass weights and pendulum are in first class condition. An unusual white enamelled beat counter.

Overall, an outstanding clock.

Dimensions (max):

Height 60" (152cm)

Width 17" ( 44cm)

Depth 8" ( 20cm)

NEW LOW PRICE!!!!

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
