Antique Italian Art Deco Walnut & Gilt 5ft Double Bed C1920

Gorgeous Antique Italian Walnut & Gilded 5FT double bed and dating from around 1920. This fabulous Italian bed is part of a four piece bedroom suite ( please see our other items for sale).

Constructed from quality walnut it has a high shaped demi lune headboard with shaped central panel and with gilt edge above a gilt frieze and with a scalloped and shaped central panel with gilt edge. The footboard is curved with a deep moulded and gilded edge to the top above a shaped and scalloped edge with gilt edges and mounts. It has its original screw in rails and stands on a beautifully carved foot with gilt mounts to the shoulders and feet.

Measures: height to head board 56" x height to footboard 28" x 84" long x 54" wide

A superb bed that also matches other bedroom furniture we have and in very good original condition with a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
