Antique Pair French Mahogany Library Armchairs C1880

Superb Pair French Mahogany Library Armchairs and dating from around 1880. Constructed from quality solid mahogany they have a beautifully carved frieze to the top bar above a deep high upholstered backrest and with upholstered armrests with carved front supports and a deep stuff over seat and standing on a cup and cover turned mahogany leg. They have been recovered in a very pale yellow quality damask fabric totally in keeping with the period.

Each chair measures: 48" high x 17" seat height x 33" deep x 27.5" wide

A Superb Pair Antique French ( possible Breton) Library chairs and in very good original condition with a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
