Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
It has its original intricate brass drop handle which allows the front fall to drop down to reveal a handy storage facility for sheet music etc. It stands on turned feet and has scrolled and turned lifting handles. The drop in seat has been recovered in a cream coloured brocade with a pattern of gold scrolls. There is a label to the interior with a registration number.

Solid with some marks and small areas of scuffs commensurate with age. Various mends to the handles. Small piece of veneer missing in areas.
