Lady's Fitted Dressing and Jewellery Box

Description

A very good quality mid-19th century fully-fitted lady's travelling DRESSING/JEWELLERY BOX in particularly fine condition.

The well figured coromandel-wood top opens to reveal an interior fitted with ten silver-topped bottles and jars, with various tools, and an easel mirror concealed within the lid.

To the base is a beautifully fitted jewellery drawer, whilst the burgundy velvet and leather linings are all in excellent original condition. Hinges and locks are engraved. Hallmarked for London 1862.
