Description

This beautiful little bag, made by Afshar tribes at the end of the 19th century, has a blue/black central field containing 4 '8-pointed' stars - symbols of protection.

The bag is complete with madder-red plain-weave back, sewn up with goat-hair and retains its woollen ties and lappits at the top. Small bags like this are now very rare.

Size: 24cm x 22cm (9.5" x 8.5").
