A fine Regency period brass-inlaid rosewood BRACKET CLOCK and BRACKET, by John Frodsham of London.

In excellent condition, the case features its original gilt brass pineapple finial; brass edge quadrants arranged around the cast brass bezel; original gilt ring side handles and fishscale frets.

The eight-day movement strikes (and repeats) hours on a bell, with original convex painted dial; gilded hands and is signed both on the dial and engraved on the backplate. Complete with brass-inlaid wall bracket.

Full working order and guaranteed for at least two years. ** John Frodsham, grandson of the founder of this famous family of clockmakers, was born in 1785, and worked at 31, Gracechurch Street, LONDON, from about 1823 until his death in 1849.
