Large Mahogany Bookcase.

19th century
Description

A good quality and impressive mahogany bookcase from the 19th Century. The top with a dentil cornice and 2 astragal glazed doors, each with intricate 33 pane glazing bars. The interior with 3 adjustable shelves. The base with well carved edging and 2 drawers with applied mouldings and brass lion head ring handles. Below are 2 panelled doors with applied raised corner carvings with carved moulding above and below. The 2 doors open to reveal an interior with a long drawer with sunken brass handles and a narrow shelf. The whole standing on a well carved edging with bracket feet. In good overall original condition with a very minor bruise to the top. Particularly good quality carving. Fully cleaned and waxed. With keys. delivery to most of U.K £75.00.
