Description

A most handsome and fairly large pocket telescope dating to around 1890, Victorian in era. The telescope is clad in a black leather covering, the brass has been professionally re-polished to gleam.

The lens has a brass cover and the eye piece has a little integrated shutter to protect the eye hole.

The telescope came to me with the leather case, I am unsure if it is the original but made from sturdy leather, it works well to protect the telescope. Some wear, particularly to the straps.

In fine working condition the telescope measures 8" when fully closed and extends to 23".
