A wonderful heavy glass inkwell with a star cut base and covered in the most stunning cast sterling silver casing, beautiful pierced or reticulated detail.

The domed hinged lid is in perfect working order. The silver is clearly hallmarked for London 1895, Victorian in era, together with the makers mark (WC) for the top-notch London silversmith, William Comyns.

Superb undamaged condition with a base diameter measuring 3" and stands 2 3/8" tall.
