Fowey River Antiques has dated this piece to the 1960s.
This is an extremely rare model being the lozenge shaped case, it measures 35mm x 20mm and because of the size would suit either a gentleman or lady.
The movement is gold plated and manual winding, as you can see it is in fabulous condition.
The original dial is perfect with gilt hands and baton markers. A new glass has been fitted and the case has been professionally polished so it is in exceptional condition.
As you would expect the watch is fully marked on the dial, movement and case. It comes with a brand new high quality wooden presentation box.
The heavy solid 18ct gold case is fully hallmarked.
It comes complete with a premium quality black leather strap.
Baume and Mercier are one of the most exclusive watchmakers in the world and this watch certainly has that understated elegance that whispers class.
Overall this watch is in outstanding condition and highly sought after by collectors indeed it looks as if it was rarely worn.
The watch has been fully serviced by Alan Williams FBHI and is guaranteed to be a genuine Baume and Mercier in all respects. It has been professionally overhauled, the process is highly detailed and meticulous.
It is stripped down to its component parts and each part is examined under a microscope for signs of wear, any worn parts are replaced with genuine manufacturers parts. Each part is then thoroughly cleaned in a three stage ultrasonic cleaning process.
The movement is then fully assembled using manufacturers approved oils and lubricants and is carried out in a clean room environment. The movement is then checked and adjusted for accurate time keeping. The cases are polished and sealed.
Obviously this is not a cheap or quick process which is why our watches are sometimes a little more expensive than others but you can be assured our watches will give you reliable and dependable service and will not require further service for many years.
The watch movement comes with a full 1 year warranty.
