Description

An absolute show-topper of a sterling silver box, the top having an Art Nouveau feel to it with three domed cartouche and a very organic and fluid repousse decoration.

The box measures over 9" in length x 1 5/8" wide x 1 1/4" tall. The lid fits well and once opened reveals a very glamorous and lavishly gilded interior.

The underside has a full English hallmark for Sheffield 1904, making this an Edwardian example. The makers initials are also present for top-notch silversmith, Mappin & Webb.
