A Beautiful Burr Walnut, Kingwood & Ormolu Victorian Period Side Cabinet

Description

A beautiful burr walnut, kingwood & ormolu Victorian Period antique side cabinet. Having a rectangular top veneered in beautifully figured burr walnut and the frieze with a rectangular sevres porcelain plaque, above the twin rectangular panelled doors, again veneered in beautifully figured burr walnut with kingwood banded detail. Each door being centred by an oval sevres painted plaque depicting lovers, within a cast ormolu mount and opens to reveal a velvet lined shelved interior. The ends having a rounded corner ormolu mounted column, again with kingwood banded detail, which is repeated on the figured walnut sides. The whole supported on a walnut veneered plinth. English circa 1860-1870

Dimensions: 46" wide x 16" deep x 39.5" high

Condition: This cabinet is in excellent condition, re-polished in our workshops. Re-lined interior.
