Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the 1910s.
There are four tapered column supports below, that sit on a shaped platform base, which has small turnings on the corners & this base sits on small bun feet. When extended, the base will just pull apart in the middle at the same time as the top is being pulled out. The are one or two metal mechanisms underneath the top & the base, which release the item for extension, plus to hold it together better. The two middle leaves have a slightly darker shade than the outside & I should think it's because the table was probably closed a lot, so would have had a lot more fading. The whole piece has been French polished, the leaves are flat, no splitting & it's very stable.
