Each is marked "Plated German Silver", which doesn't mean they are from Germany, it is simply another name for Nickel Silver, referring to it's heritage, developed first in Saxe-Meiningen, Germany, in 1824, hence its other name as German Silver.

This pair dates to the Victorian era, around 1880. Each measures 8" in diameter with the woods measuring approximately 4 3/4" in diameter.
