Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the 1900s.
You can feel the crisp horse hair underneath the upholstery. They are well upholstered, hand tacked & have generous proportions, so are very comfortable. The mahogany frames are sturdy & in good original condition. There are some slight openings on the top corners of the wings, due to shrinkage, but there is no movements & it's no untoward. There is some fading mainly on the arms & a few small nicks around those parts, which is normal for chairs over 100 years old, but generally speaking I don't think they need touching. These armchairs also have original porcelain casters. Please enlarge all the images to appreciate the quality.
