A small and chic Louis XVI style 'Pendule d'officier', white marble mounted with ormolu. Ormolu has a bright and clean finish as does the marble. Dial is enamel on copper and is lettered in blue on a delicate off-white background. It is fitted with original delicately fretted brass hands and convex glass bezel.

The French movement is of excellent quality and has a platform escapement - no pendulum to set up. It has been fully overhauled by our clockmaker, runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell, click the movie below to see and hear the movement!
The finish of the ormolu is excellent - bright and clean. The marble is also in excellent condition with just some minor areas of discoloration. The dial is in very good condition with just some small chipping around the winding holes.
Complete with bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
