Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
A very attractive pair of high quality statement chairs they are fairly sturdy and solid and they have been newly recovered in lovely soft brown leather and trimmed with studs. The upholstery underneath is in good condition and fairly new.

Condition Report:
Solid condition, Wear and marks commensurate with age. Some small splits to the back of one chair where it has been re-glued and scuffs to the feet and legs. Newly recovered in soft dark brown leather over the existing upholstery which is fairly new and in good condition. They would have originally have had a further set of top finials, but look fine without these.
