Fully restored and service with a 12 month warranty.

This is a beautiful example of a large 18ct gold plated Victorian repeating carriage clock dated to around 1890.

Made by the Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Company. Regent Street, London who were renowned for the very finest jewelery, clocks and watches.

It has a stunning 18ct gold plated case with a shaped fold down handle which is in mint condition having just undergone full restoration. This is NOT a polished and lacquered brass case and being 18ct gold plated it will not tarnish or deteriorate, only a light dusting with a cloth is required.

Its textured silver dial is quite stunning and compliments the gold plating beautifully. Quite amazingly it retains its original bevel edged curved glass which has no chips or cracks.

The movement is of an exceptional high quality and has its original platform escapement and key, it runs for a full 8 days and keeps excellent time. It strikes on the hours and half hours on a tuned coiled gong and has a repeater button which strikes the previous hour.

The movement is in excellent clean and running condition having just undergone a complete and comprehensive overhaul by Alan Williams who is a Fellow of the British Horological Institute so you can be assured that this clock will give trouble free service for many many years before requiring any further attention.

A beautiful high quality and rather rare large Victorian striking and repeating carriage clock in wonderful condition which will give great pleasure for many years to come indeed this is the best carriage clock we have seen.

This clock has obviously been highly prized, it has been extremely well looked after over the last 120 years and is a credit to its previous owners, it is rare to find such a clock in this superb condition.

The clock movement comes with a full 12 month warranty.
