Antique English Silver Plated Sugar and Cream Set C.1890

Description

A lovely and very usable cream and sugar set made from silver plate. The milk jug and sugar bowl sit in their individual holders, the milk having a cut-out for the handle to sit.

The caddy sits on four original ball feet and there is a integral carry handle terminating in a heart shape at the top. The stand is beautifully decorated with a combination of repousse or embossed work and pierced or reticulated panels.

Both the bowl and creamer are lavishly washed with gold on the inside. Unmarked, the set remains in superb condition dating to the late Victorian era, around 1890. 10" x 5 1/4" x 8" tall to top of handle.
