Oil on board scene entitled ''Wet mud, Humber bank'' by the Lincolnshire artist Clive Richard Browne (1901-91). The scene shows in rich shades the scene of low tide on the Humber with ships in the distance. The work is mounted in the original gilt frame and retains the exhibition label to reverse. The whole is in excellent original condition. The artist Clive Browne is a well known painter of Lincolnshire scenes and exhibited widely during his long career, including the Royal Academy, The Royal Society of British Artists and The Royal Scottish Academy etc. Having seen much of the artists work I consider this one to be one of his best.
