Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
The side supports are barley twist and topped with finials. The back legs are also barley twist and the stretchers and front legs are turned. The seats are solid seats with quite few splits in them. Some give to the chair frames. One of the finials has been repaired at some point and is much larger than the other.

One chair is solid to sit on, the other has some light give to it (but not too wobbly). Both seats have deep splits across them. Wear and marks commensurate with age to the frames. One of the finials has been mended at some point and is much larger than the rest.
