Antique 18th Century Mahogany Clothes Press Wardrobe C1780

Superb Antique 18th Century Flamed Mahogany Clothes Press Wardrobe and dating from around 1780. Constructed from quality mahogany it has a cornice top with cross banded frieze above two flamed mahogany panelled doors with fine inlaid stringing. It has its original brass divider and working key. Internally there is a brass hanging rail and two removable shelves. To the base there are two false drawer fronts ( Clothes hang down inside this space) and three long graduating drawers all of which are oak lined and with original period handles. It stands on bracket feet and separates for ease of transporting.

Measures: 77" high x 24" deep x internal depth 21.5" x 48" wide

A superb Period Antique 18th Century Mahogany Clothes Press and in very good original condition with a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
