Antique Victorian Walnut Occasional Table with Revolving Gallery

Description

Antique Victorian solid walnut occasional table with a revolving shaped central section in burr walnut. This revolving section has a delightful turned gallery on it. I'm not sure what the purpose of this part was meant to be used for. Some people are of the opinion that it was a smokers table, but what ever it is, it's a great looking piece & it's in lovely original condition. It has a circular top, a turned central column & sits on a tripod feet. I would date it to around the 1860-80 period.

Height - 26.5" 67 cm
