A Georgian mahogany shell inlaid mercury barometer. An architectural pediment with central brass finial. Marquetry shell and floral inlays. A cast brass bezel to the silvered dial with fine engraving. A thermometer to the long scale. Signed to the dial 'Ortelli & Co, London'.

Ortelli & Co are recorded in Banfields 'Barometer makers and retailers' book as working 1809-1835.
