Fowey River Antiques has dated this piece to the 1930s.
They have a platinum case and in each earring approximately 1ct of the most exquisite diamonds which are incredibly white, bright and crisp, the sparkle they generate is absolutely amazing and are of high grade FG colour, we can see no inclusions with the naked eye. They are old European cut diamonds which are deeper and heavier than brilliant cut ones. The principle diamond is 4.6mm in diameter.
They are very much of the Art Deco era in shape and design, being quite angular with three graduated diamonds and the bottom droplet is hinged or articulated so they move very slightly so it catches the light.
The sides are chased and decorated and the backs and butterfly fittings are of 18ct white gold.
Each earring measures 20mm long and 7mm wide.
