Fowey River Antiques has dated this piece to the 1850s.
The casting and attention to detail is quite staggering with the lion head masks with rings through the mouths in the centre and finishing with the ball and claw feet. They then have the traditional finials - very classic and elegant.

They have been professionally restored with the brass being bright and crisp whilst retaining the patina which you would expect, they are also extremely heavy.
They measure 19 inches high, 12.5 inches wide and the depth is 16 inches although we can reduce this to a minimum of 6 inches to suit your needs.

It is rare to find a pair in such amazing condition.
A genuine French Victorian pair of chenets in the classic and elegant design which would look stunning placed in front of any period fireplace.
You are more than welcome to view these or any item we have listed especially our selection of solid brass companion sets, fire dogs and lighting so do please look at our inventory.
