Taylor & Hobson have roots going back to 1756 when Nathaniel Hobson was first apprenticed to Thomas Chippendale - and the company continued to produce fine furniture for both of the next two centuries.

The styling of this attractive set of chairs is clean and in keeping with the Arts & Crafts movement with elegant tapered front leg, tall back and a six bar back support.
Well proportioned and sturdy this excellent and robust set of chairs offer great comfort in use with a useful 46cm (18.1") seat height and a comfy seat pad. The textile is is in excellent condition. The chairs are of the 'drop-in' seat variety and therefore can be easily recovered if desired.

The framing is strong throughout as expected of this quality maker. The chairs are certainly ideal for daily use.
