Description

A good quality Wiltshire longcase clock. A mahogany case with inlays. An arched hood pediment surmounted by an original set of brass finials. Brass capped fluted hood side columns. An arched painted dial with country riverside scene. A seconds dial and date aperture. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the hours on a bell.

The Bullock family were prolific clockmakers working in Bath, Devises, Chippenham, Corsham and outlining areas. They are well documented in Youngs' 'Wiltshire Watch and Clockmakers book.
