Description

A striking and most unusual piece of English Tunbridgeware dating to around 1840, so very early Victorian and attributed to the Burrows family who worked until 1854.

Unusually this box is created from Ash wood and decorated with stickware, including two figural panels each end, each inlaid with a bird.

The box has a fall-front revealing a lovely Ash interior. Excellent condition and complete with a working key. 10" x 4 1/2" x 4 1/2".
