Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
The arms are curved and it stands on cabriole legs with a bow front.

Condition Report:
Solid and sturdy. Lots of wear to the arms with old mends and splits. Decorative brackets which would have originally been underneath the legs missing. Newly recovered in a brocade fabric of leaf pattern in beige embroidered on a stone coloured background over the original horse hair and re-webbed with jute webbing.
