Antique English Sterling Silver Card Case - 1852

Description

A really stunning quality solid or sterling silver card case, beautifully shaped with exquisite decoration to both the back and front.

The hinged lid fits well and once opens reveals a full English hallmark for Birmingham 1852, a fairly early Victorian example. The highly desirable Queen Victoria's head duty mark is also present together with the maker initials E S for the silversmith, Edward Smith.

Excellent condition, measuring 4" x 2 3/4"; 2.10 Troy Ounces / 65.3 Grams.
